Improve Your Handwriting With Some Easy Tips

Improve Your Handwriting With Some Easy Tips

Handwriting is a training skill. Your handwriting reveals a lot more about your personality than you might think. Now there are plenty of ways to improve your handwriting. Some people are gifted with neat and incredible handwriting and some write in verse however hard they try. The handwriting does not fetch you extra marks, but it plays a very important role during your exam. Poor, bad handwriting with too many cuttings and overwriting makes the examiner difficult to read and understand your answer. Whereas good, neat, legible handwriting makes the examiner's work easier, Readable, and understandable.

You can deny that good handwriting is the first impression. So without further Ado, let's see some effective tips that will improve and create better handwriting.

1. Gather best materials

All you need is a piece of paper and either a pen or pencil. I suggest you use lined or ruled paper while practicing your handwriting. If you are using plain paper or a book and feeling difficult to write it neat and straight, then don't worry. Just place a lined page under the playing paper.

More than likely, you will be able to see the notebook paper lines and you can use them as guidelines for writing straight and legible. Use eyes, pen, or pencil. You will have to find the best pen that works for you. Always remember to use a quality one because cheap or poor-quality materials will deliver poor handwriting.

2. Develop a good writing posture

Sit up straight, keeping your back and neck as straight as possible, whereas slumping or drooping sitting posture will lead to back, neck, and shoulder pain. so sit comfortably with proper posture.

3. Warm up your hands

whenever before you get into the work, flex your hands for 5 seconds and roll your wrists for again 5 seconds. So that they get loosened up. If you haven't been writing for a few days, those areas get tightened up and it's difficult to write with full flow.

4. Position the page at an angle between 30 and 45 degrees

If you are a left-handed person, the top edge of the page should point to your right. If you are a right-handed person, it should point to your left side. As you practice writing, make small adjustments to find the angle that feels most comfortable to you and allows you to write more relatively.

5. maintain a relaxed grip

Many people grip the pen or pencil too hard in an effort to gain control over their stocks, but that often results in slower hands, which leads to sloppy handwriting. So a nice relaxed grip is one of the main things that will improve your handwriting.

6. Draw shapes

Letters are combinations of basic shapes. In order to improve your handwriting techniques, spend time drawing shapes. Practice drawing vertical lines, diagonal lines, circles, and semicircles.

7. Move on to writing individual letters

Once you have gotten comfortable using the proper posture and writing motion with your lines and circles, you should turn your attention to actual letters. Practice writing alphabets from small letters to capital letters. Just like how we were taught in your kinder pattern.

8. Analyzing Your Handwriting

In order to improve your handwriting, you need to evaluate your starting point. Take out your pen and notebook. Next, copy any paragraph from your textbooks or even from newspapers, storybooks, etc. This is just to give an idea of what your handwriting looks like on average. After writing the paragraph, we will check out three important points.
  • Check the alignment:- Do your words tend to be written on an upward or downward angle? Do they overlap with lines on the page? So, make sure to write each and every word in the same direction and same angle.
  • Look for a slant:- Everyone has different slants for writing. Some like to prefer the right side, some like to prefer the left side and even straight. A slight slant is typically not a problem, but too much of one can make reading difficult. So keep your slants consistent and clear.
  • Look at the spacing:- The distance between yoga and letters helps to determine the quality of your handwriting. First, identify the letters that are squished together. There should be enough space between each word so that you can fit the letter 'o'. So always pay attention to the closeness of each individual letter.

9. Look for inspiration

In order to improve your handwriting, it can be helpful to see examples of handwriting that you like the most. Then try to copy the look of that handwriting letter by letter. Pay attention to how they collect letters, the shapes, and the angles they create. This will help you to create a lot of ideas and inspiration to improve your handwriting.

Every day, spend 10 to 15 minutes in your handwriting practice. That's it for today's article guys. I really hope that some of these tips will help you in improving your handwriting. Don't expect your handwriting to miraculously improve overnight. It may take days or months. But however, lots of practice and patience will lead to big success.
